How much credit each deposit gets
50% applies to the first $1,000 of your first deposit (so at most $500), and 20% to everything above that and to every later deposit, until you reach $10,000 of credit.

A later deposit of $1,000 adds $200. If your equity falls below the credit, VT may remove the credit, which can trigger a stop-out, so size trades on your own money.

Our view
The 50% first-deposit credit adds real margin to a small account, and the 20% on later deposits keeps adding it. It is margin only: it cushions drawdowns but cannot be taken out.
Two things to watch: deposit by card or bank transfer, and keep equity well above the credit amount so a losing streak does not remove it at the worst moment.
